Installation/Setup Procedures

Use the sensor's four mounting holes, which are .196" ( 4.98 mm ) in diameter, to fasten the sensor securely.
The unit may be mounted directly to a grounded metal bulkhead or bracket.

Multiple units must be spaced at least 150 mm apart, laterally.

     Your sensor's electrical connections must agree with those shown in the wiring diagram above.
Setup Procedure
Connect a DC voltmeter between the output lead of the sensor and ground.

With no target present, turn the adjustment potentiometer fully clockwise (CW). The voltmeter should read greater than 6 volts. Then, turn the pot counterclockwise (CCW) until the voltage drops to approximately 3 volts.

Place the intended target material in the sensing field and adjust for the desired voltage outputs, with respect to the variations you wish to monitor.
