Use the sensor's two mounting holes, which are .144"
( 3.66 mm ) in diameter and spaced on 1.00" ( 25.4 mm ) centers, to fasten the
sensor securely to a bulkhead or bracket. Multiple units must be spaced at least 40 mm apart, laterally, and, as a general rule, expanded sensing elements must be spaced a minimum of the sensor diameter away from each other. |
Your switch's electrical connections must agree with those shown in the corresponding wiring diagram above. | |
| Setup Procedure | ||
|
Apply power. With no target present, turn the adjustment potentiometer CW until an alarm condition exists ( Normally Open - LED is lit; Normally Closed - LED is off ). Then, turn the pot CCW until the alarm just resets. This is the point of maximum possible sensitivity; this is not the recommended operating point, however, as temperature fluctuations may cause false alarms or detection failures. For the optimum setting, put a target at the desired detection point and ensure that the switch is alarmed. Turn the pot CCW until the unit just resets, noting the number of turns to reset. Return CW half this number of turns. Note: A minimum of ¼ turn CW is recommended to ensure stable operation. |
