Use the sensor's four mounting holes, which are .196"
( 4.98 mm ) in diameter, to fasten the sensor securely.
The unit may be mounted directly to a grounded metal bulkhead or bracket. Multiple units must be spaced at least 150 mm apart, laterally. |
Your switch's electrical connections must agree with those shown in the corresponding wiring diagram above. | |
| Setup Procedure | ||
|
Apply power. With no target present, turn the adjustment potentiometer CW until an alarm condition exists ( Normally Open - LED is lit; Normally Closed - LED is off ). Then, turn the pot CCW until the alarm just resets. This is the point of maximum possible sensitivity; this is not the recommended operating point, however, as temperature fluctuations may cause false alarms or detection failures. For the optimum setting, put a target at the desired detection point and ensure that the switch is alarmed. Turn the pot CCW until the unit just resets, noting the number of turns to reset. Return CW half this number of turns. Note: A minimum of ¼ turn CW is recommended to ensure stable operation. |
