Installation/Setup Procedures
Mechanical Installation Electrical Installation
Use a 12A272 mounting clamp, or its equivalent, to securely mount the sensor.

The remote sensing element must be constructed and secured in a way that prohibits movement of the element, with respect to ground or the object to be detected.

Note : For new installations, you may require an optional 12A907 Triaxial Bulkhead Connector, to interface with your remote sensing element.

Multiple units must be spaced at least 25mm apart, laterally, and, as a general rule, remote sensing elements must be spaced a minimum of the sensor diameter away from each other.
Your switch's electrical connections must agree with those shown in the corresponding wiring diagram above.
Setup Procedure
Apply power.

With no target present, turn the adjustment potentiometer CW until an alarm condition exists
( Normally Open - LED is lit;  Normally Closed - LED is off ).

Then, turn the pot CCW until the alarm just resets. This is the point of maximum possible sensitivity;
this is not the recommended operating point, however, as temperature fluctuations may cause false alarms or detection failures.

For the optimum setting, put a target at the desired detection point and ensure that the switch is alarmed. Turn the pot CCW until the unit just resets, noting the number of turns to reset. Return CW half this number of turns.

Note:   A minimum of  ¼  turn CW is recommended to ensure stable operation.
